Motivation - An Eternal Adrenaline

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them
fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit
was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The
two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit
with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop,
that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took
heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down
and died.

The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again,
the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He
jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the
other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to
them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the
entire time.

This story teaches two lessons:

1. There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging
word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it
through the day.

2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes
to kill them.
Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your
path. The power of words... it is sometimes hard to understand
that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak
words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in
difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time
to encourage another

Attraction towards the divine personality of God should be the reason for your worship

A devotee must not expect any benefit from God. The devotee must be prepared to suffer the negative points shown by God i.e., God may give troubles even after your worship but still the devotees must love God. The devotees must be attracted by the divine personality of God. You are attracted by the wonderful taste of the Divine Nectar and should face all the problems like the serpents surrounding it.

When a great film actor dies, the fans of that actor, commit suicide. The fan is not benefited from the film star in anyway. Infact the fan had spent his money for the sake of the actor. So instead of benefit he is put to a loss due to the actor. The reason for such highest love of the fan for the actor is his strongest attraction towards the personality of the actor. Similarly the attraction towards the divine personality of God should be the reason for your worship. It should be just like your blind attraction towards your son. You have served him in his childhood. When he is grown up, he does not serve you but insults you. Still you give all your property only to your son.

You do not show such a treatment towards God. This clearly means that God is not even equal to your son. But in your prayers, you claim that God is dearest to you. This is a lie. Thus you commit two sins. The first sin is that your highest love is not for God, as it is supposed to be. The second sin is that you claim that God is dearest to you, which is a lie. Due to this, the anger of God towards you is doubled.

Friendship....

Mark was walking home from school one day when he noticed the boy ahead of him had tripped and dropped all of the books he was carrying, along with two sweaters, a baseball bat, a glove and a small tape recorder.

Mark knelt down and helped the boy pick up the scattered articles. Since they were going the same way, he helped to carry part of the burden. As they walked Mark discovered the boy's name was Bill, that he loved video games, baseball and history, and that he was having lots of trouble with his other subjects and that he had just broken up with his girlfriend. They arrived at Bill's home first and Mark was invited in for a Coke and to watch some television. The afternoon passed pleasantly with a few laughs and some shared small talk, then Mark went home. They continued to see each other around school, had lunch together once or twice, then both graduated from junior high school. They ended up in the same high school where they had brief contacts over the years.

Finally the long-awaited senior year came and three weeks before graduation, Bill asked Mark if they could talk. Bill reminded him of the day years ago when they had first met. "Did you ever wonder why I was carrying so many things home that day?" asked Bill. "You see, I cleaned out my locker because I didn't want to leave a mess for anyone else. I had stored away some of my mothers sleeping pills and I was going home to commit suicide. But after we spent some time together talking and laughing, I realized that if I had killed myself, I would have missed that time and so many others that might follow. So you see, Mark, when you picked up those books that day, you did a lot more, you saved my life." Every little hello, every little smile, every helping hand saves a hurting heart.

There's a miracle called Friendship that dwells in the heart.
You don't know how it happens or when it gets started but, you know the special lift it always brings and you realize that Friendship Is God's most precious gift! Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed.
They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their heart to us.

Spiritual knowledge is the most complicated path

Brahma Vidya or Brahma Jnanam or spiritual knowledge is the most complicated path and even to achieve the correct knowledge is hectic affair. Correct knowledge is the first step and even in this first step, lot of complications exist and people are mislead even in this first step. The whole complication lies only in one point i.e., you must conquer your ego and jealousy completely and recognize the contemporary human incarnation existing before your eyes acting as an ordinary human being and some times acting as worst human being. You have to recognize God beyond good and bad. God is possessor of the world in which both good and bad exist. God is not touched by the world and therefore good and bad do not touch Him. He can expose good or bad but He is not touched by both.

The world is like a shirt, which cannot be His characteristic like His skin. The good and bad are like the different colors of His shirt and they are not the colors of His skin. The white color of His shirt is not the white color of His skin. He is in the white shirt and He is beyond the white shirt. Seeing the color of white shirt, you will decide that He is white and approach Him as a good person. In the case of the individual soul, your analysis is correct because the individual soul is a bundle of qualities. The individual soul is the shirt itself. Therefore, the individual soul is white or good. Similarly, the individual soul is black or bad. But in the case of the human incarnation, God is beyond white and black colors, who is unimaginable. When you approach Him, He will change His white shirt and puts on black shirt. You will think that He is black and you will run away. All your spiritual knowledge must be used to distinguish a really black man and a colorless person wearing black shirt.

Last words of Mother Teresa

Here is some things that Mother Teresa said before her death.
When I pick up a person from the street, hungry, I give him a plate of rice, a piece of bread. But a person who is shut out, who feels unwanted, unloved, terrified, the person who has been thrown out of society - that spiritual poverty is much harder to overcome. Those who are materially poor can be very wonderful people.

One evening we went out and we picked up four people from the street. And one of them was in a most terrible condition. I told the Sisters: 'You take care of the other three; I will take care of the one who looks worse.' So I did for her all that my love can do. I put her in bed, and there was such a beautiful smile on her face. She took hold of my hand, as she said one word only: 'Thank you' - and she died. I could not help but examine my conscience before her. And I asked: 'What would I say if I were in her place?' And my answer was very simple. I would have tried to draw a little attention to myself. I would have said: 'I am hungry, I am dying, I am cold, I am in pain,' or something. But she gave me much more - she gave me her grateful love. And she died with a smile on her face.

Then there was the man we picked up from the drain, half eaten by worms and, after we had brought him to the home, he only said, 'I have lived like an animal in the street, but I am going to die as an angel, loved and cared for.' Then, after we had removed all the worms from his body, all he said, with a big smile, was: 'Sister, I am going home to God' - and he died. It was so wonderful to see the greatness of that man who could speak like that without blaming anybody, without comparing anything. Like an angel - this is the greatness of people who are spiritually rich even when they are materially poor.......

Life
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is bliss, taste it.
Life is a dream, realise it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.

Excellence is a drive from Inside not Outside.

A gentleman was once visiting a temple under construction.
In the temple premises, he saw a sculptor making an idol of God.
Suddenly he saw, just a few meters away, another identical idol was lying.
Surprised he asked the sculptor, do you need two statutes of the same idol.
No said the sculptor. We need only one, but the first one got damaged at the last stage.
The gentleman examined the statue.
No apparent damage was visible.
Where the damage is? Asked the gentleman.
There is a scratch on the nose of the idol.
Where are you going to keep the idol?
The sculptor replied that it will be installed on a pillar 20 feet high.
The gentleman asked- When the idol will be 20 feet away from the eyes of the beholder,
who is going to know that there is scratch on the nose anyways?
The sculptor looked at the gentleman, smiled and said, "The God knows it and I know it ".


The desire to excel should be exclusive of the fact whether someone appreciates it or not.

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness..........you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation.......you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep...you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace....... you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If your parents are still alive and still married........you are very rare, even in the United States.

If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful.....you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.

If you prayed yesterday and today........you are in the minority because you believe God does hear and answer prayers.

If you can read now, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.
